*NOTE - that these are some "HACK" directions told to me to render my pencam mini 1.3 beepless. Remember that this will void your warranty. I take no responsibility for problems that may occur, so do this at YOUR own risk.
1. Turn the focus ring to the landscape mode.
2. Open the battery compartment and unscrew the small screw (your will need a jewelers screwdriver).
3. Very carefully, pry open the top of the pencam.
4. Once the top is off, look at the top of the pencam, you should see a black barrel shaped object with two wires going into it. This is the beeper.
5. Snip one of the wired going into the beeper. I snipped the red wire.
6. Carefully snap the top back on and tighten the small screw.
If all went well, you should be beepless.
